SAILING
The first of the sailing races for the President’s Cup took place on Wednesday evening when -six boats competed A strong south-west wind prevailed, and agood contest was witnessed. The race resulted in a popular win for F. Stenton’s Comet, CL Patrick’s Roseen being second and A Moore’s Silver Fern third. The other starters were the Spray, Ariel and Miss Riverton.
