- NEW YORK, December 20. The whole population of Los Angeles is so aroused by the murder or Marion Parker that the police aie having the greatest difficulty m keeping the mob from taking justice mto their own hands whenever a suspect is arrested, which occurs several times daily. , The police declare that (the murderer has been positively . identified as a young* man now in Los Angeles but whose home is in Kansas City. They assert that the motive was revenge because th 6 latter was recently convicted of forgery while employed m the bank of which Mr Parker is an executive. He was par oiled in spite of Mr Parker’s strenuous protests. The police state that the fingerprints on the abandoned motoi cai and elsewhere tally with the youth s in. the Rogues’ Gallery and that also five persons! <liave identified him from photographs, including a teacher who let the kidnapper take the child from school. One young man who was ar_ rested strongly resembled the suspect but he completely proved his innocence, yet not before he was almost taken by the mob which the police forced bapk with the greatest difficulty.

POLICE SEARCH FOR SLAYER NEW YORK, D ecember 20. Reports from Los Angeles state that the police of America by means of photographs and identification by finger prints, are 'Searching for William Hickman, aged eighteen, as the slayer of Marion Parker as ah act of revenge against her father. Hickman was recently discharged from the Los Angeles First National Bank for alleged forgery of cheques. He .pleaded guilty at the Juvenile Court and was released from custody. The father of Marion Parker is assistant cashier at the bank and was the only witness who urged a.term of gaol. It is stated that Hickman swore vengeance on Parker.
