The monthly meeting was attended by Mr L R Jordan (Chairman) ami Messrs T Borland, G Swift, A E Mdlett, W J Winton, R N Wilson and M Mr Borland for the Book Committee reported that over fifty newbookshad been ordered and placed on the shelf He said the request of readers had been acceded to as far as possible m that the suggestion book had been ma free use of, also that many oh the books wer € -to replace volumes ot the best authors which, had been worn ° and which had beek asked for by subscribers. The new books were verj sat s factory and he thought would meet the tastes of tliei.r readers . The Works Committee was authorised to carry out painting of the interior of the building and alter the raadin„ b °Accounts amounting to £9 7/2 were passed for payment.
