WALL ACETOWN STOCK SALE. The fortnightly stock sale at Wallace•town was held on Tuesday, there being a good muster of buyers. With the exception of store cattle the yarding was considerably below that of the past two sales, and prices showed an upward trend in most cases.

Fat Cattle. —There was an average yarding, which included some high-class bullock- beef. There was a good sale, which was no doubt stimulated by the fact that two or three outside butchers were operating. Prime ox beef may be piloted at round about 37/6, while some special stuff made 40/-. A- massive animal from Winton district topped the market at £22 5/-, while other extra prime stuff went from £l6 to £ 1 1S; prime from £l2 to £ls; lighter sorts, £lO to £ll 10/-; unfinished steers from £8 to £10; prime . heifers about the same rate.

Fat Sheep.—There was a, small yarding, and the quality was not as good as usual. There was a rie of about 2/0 a head on last sale quotations. The top price, 46/-, was secured for a nice lino of extra prime wethers, and 45/was paid for another lot. Prime ranged from 39/- to 43/-; lighter, 34/- to 36/6. A pen of prime ewes made 31/9. and others ranged from that figure down to 26/-.

Store Cattle.—The yarding was more than double that of last siale day, and the sale was one of the best held at Wallacetown for a long time past. Three year bullocks realised from. £4 15/- to £5 18/-. The yarding included 65 dairy rows, winch met with a fluctuating sale. Some ,of the prices obtained for Mr F. Brieber’s dary,herd were as follows u Third and fourth calvers, £9 IV-, £8 15/-. £6 5/- to £4 7/6. Store Sheep.—There was a smatl yarding, and the quality was not good. Price's, however, were firmer. Mixedsex hoggets' from 28/6 to 30/9; 2-tootli ewes, 28/6; f. and f.m. owes from 24/to 27/0.
