OTAUTAU STOW; SALE. A LARGE YARDING There was a. yarding 0 f about 5000 sheep at the above sales on Friday, included in which wore some very fair lines of forward wethers and hoggets. Good young ewes wore absent from the market. Tho sale was a fairly good one. but owinsr to the scarcity of feed there was not quite so much competition as a& the fceriava *■&•. at wether,-, sold up to X 6 o/o, wether hoggets: ii]) to 30/-, while the top price realised for m.s. hoggets was 32/6. Four and six tooth owes Hold up to £2, and four and six tooth failing-mouth ewes 24/(3 to 29/1.. Followng were some of the lines sold :—IOO hoggets 26/-, 80 f. and f. ewes 24/6, 55d0. 24/6, 254 do. 29/1, 99 do. 17/-, 30 do. 23/7, 101 ewes, 27/2, 94 do. 27/3, 30 wethers 80/3,. 30 twotooth ewes 37/6, 34 hoggets 30/-, 72 s.m. ewes 30/-, 86 wether hoggets 30/-, 299 two-tooth wethers 32/6, 109 wethers 33/9, 19 hoggets 29/6, 12 fat wothers ■ 40/6, 48 .forward wethers 37/-, 305 j wether , hoggets 27/11, 46 aged ewes; 24/3, 162 m.s. hoggets- 32/2, 80 f. and f. ewes 24/6, 50 four and six-tooth ewes 34/3, 50 two-tooth wethers 39/7, 40 : wether hoggets 28/-, 100 two. four, six and eight-tooth ewes 38/-, 53 do. -38/-, i and 100 do. 58/-. Cattle: —2 fat cows at £6 each, and J 2 at £5. 2 empty cows 30/-, 2 yearling steers £4, 1 cow (fourth calver) j £2 7/0, and 1 at 20/-, 1 at 50/-, and j 2 at 30/-. Dairy cows sold from £2 • to £5 10/-.
Horses: —A draught gelding realised £3O, and draught ma-es £27, and £lt>. A tip dray was sold for £27, and harness and sundries were sold at full market values.
