THE INVERCARGILL REGATTA
TO-BE SCREENED AT RIVERTON.
At considerable expense the Manager of the Empire Pictures has secured for screening on Wednesday night, “ The Invercargill Regatta.” This is the first moving picture of any importance taken in Southland, and .should prove a great attraction. The photography is excellent and compares favourably with oilier films. This picture packed the Albion Theatre, Invercargill, for three nights, and no doubt it will fill the house at Riverton. Prices will bo as usual, and no extra charge for booking. “FOOLS AND THEIR MONEY.” A big fox hunt will be one of the many unusual .attractions seen in ' Fools and’. Their Money,” the latest Metro play, starring Emmy Whelan, which will be shown at the Empire Pictures to-morrow night. Over a hundred' smartly-clad men and women will take part in the hunt, which starts from a famous-. Country Club and continues for many miles over the beautiful pastures and meadowlands of lower California. The pack of hounds which are used in the picture aro considered) the finest in that soct:on of tiie West and were loaned to Metro by the club to which they belong, while the many hunters come from a stock farm that beasts many blue ribbons to its credit.
