CLASS D.
ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE MADE SOON. WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. ‘The Recruiting. Board will make an announcement in the next few 1 days regarding the first ballot in D class of the Second Division. No D men. (three children) will be taken into camp before, April if the present rate of reinforcements, continues, and the date may be later. The October, November, and January drafts (47th, 48th, and 49th Reinforcements) are now 1 closed to recruiting, and the February draft. (50th Reinforcements) is also closed as far as the Second) Division is concerned. The. remainder of C class men, about four thousand, will bo gazetted on the 18th inst., fit men A being posted to. the March draft, for which recruiting is now open. It is expected there will be a surplus over up the April draft. A later message says the names of four thousand Class C reservists, being the balance of this class, will be gazetted on September 18. It is not intended to. select from Class' D, men with three children, until the second week in. January. Five thousand will be balloted and the names gazetted on January 15. WELLINGTON, Sept. 3.
It has been decided that the first ballet of Class D, Second Division, shall be drawn in January. The number of men to be drawn is five thousand, and the names of the selected reservists will be published in tbe Gazette issued on Jammj Jo.
