OBITUARY.
\/ ,A R. WATSON J
* There passed away at the Riverton hospital tills morning a. very old resident of the district in the person of, John Watson, aged Go years. Born in Sydney, the late Mr Watson arrived ni Riverton with his ' parents in the early sixties. When a young man deceased returned to Australia for some years before settling down in Riverton and entering into possession of land at the Narrows. The late Mr Watson took an active interest in sport of all kinds in his early days, and was a keen enthusiast in rowing matters, ile was a splendid oai'slman, and always took part in the regattas which have been annually held. Fie leaves a widow and four of a family—three daughters and a sou—to mourn their loss.
MRS ELLEN T. FREW.
There pased away at South Riverton yesterday morning a highly respected resident, in the person of Mrs Ja,s. Frew, aged 54 years. Deceased, who was born in Lancashire, arrived in Riverton with her parents in the early sixties, and practically lived in South Riverton up to the time of her demise. The lat.e Mrs Frow took an active interest in church matters, and was ever ready to lend a helping hand in cases of distress. She leaves three of a family, two sons and a daughter, to mourn her loss. Her eldest sou, Terrell, is at present fighting in France.
