P. C. WEBB RESIGNS.
PRIOR TO ENTERING GAMP

Mr P. C. Webb, M.P. for Girey, has sent the following letter to- the Speaker of the House of Representatives:—
Sir, —I beg to tender my resignation as member of the- House of Representatives, to take effect as from one week after the close of the present session. 1 take this step- because it is abundantly clear from the nature of the petitions and telegrams received from every part of my electorate, and from the gold and coal-miners throughout New Zealand, that the general interests of the electorate and special interests should not be unrepresented in Parliament.- Yours faithfully, P.
