Motorists can try - their skill in driving and balancing, r Territorials and cadets, old buffers', - single and married ladies may all com--3 pete for .championships in sprinting i and sawing and chopping. There are ten dancing events—Highland dancf ing, Irish jig, and sailor’s hornpipe. 1 Children’s races of all sorts. Tng-of--3 war, weight guessing, sheaf tossing, , and the greasy pig. The Baby Show t comprises six sections for baby boys t and baby girls—up to 9. months old, ( 20 months old, and 3 years old, and the most popular baby will be decided by vote. Expenses in connection with the Fair have been, cut down to the minimum, and the attractions provided are immense. The stalls will ‘ be stocked with produce of all kinds. Luncheon and afternoon tea. will be A - n from 11.30 a.m. The. baking, sweets, jellies, jams, butter and egg exhibition will be a feature of the Fair. The Nightcaps Brass Band, Invercargill South School- Drum and Fife Band, and a, party of Highland pipers will play selections during the day. —The Stock and Produce Sale.— The stock sale starts punctually at 3 o’clock, and is being conducted by the Invercargill Stock Agents free of all charges, just as it hast been donated by the farmers free of all cost, and will be brought to the show grounds by the drovers and drafted by expert stockmen free of cost all through. Approximately 500 sheep, chiefly fat wethers and hoggets are to bo yarded, a. number of yearling cattle, and some particularly fine | heifers, also a. couple of horses. Oats, chaff, potatoes, butter, eggs, jams, jollies etc., will also be on sale. The Fair should prove an eventful day in the show grounds. Arrangements are all well in hand, and the gratification of assisting to allay the sufferings of our soldiers must appeal to all.
