RIVERTON PICTURES CO.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the ab/)ve was held last evening, there being about- 20 shareholders present, representing, roughly, a little over kOO shares. Air E. B. Patrick, Chairman of Directors, occupied the chair. The Secretary, Air P. A. Bell, read the report and balance sheet, as published, which was accepted without comment. There was a credit balance of £IG IGs 2d. Air T. J. Price moved his notice of motion, “ That Air H. Akhunst’s offer for the company’s business as a, going concern as from June Ist, 1917, (for the sum of £4lO be accepted, and that the company be voluntarily wound up.” Tliis was seconded by Mr Barrett and carried. Air L. AV. Petchell was appointed liquidator at a fee of £4 4s. Air Barrett moved the following notice of motion: “ That after paying liquidator’s expenses, the cash balance over and . above purchase money be handed to Air Akhurst; to go towards repairing the engine.—Carried. The Chairman explained that a motion could be carried at a meeting by a majority in a show of hands, but, if a poll were demanded, a majority of votes o-f> shareholders wa;s necessary, the voting power being one share on.’ vote. The adjourned meeting will lie held on 2nd August,
