RED CROSS.
The following is a list of articles sent in as the result of the special effort before closing the Red Cross Rooms for G weeks;
6 blanket dressing gowns, 133 draw sheets, 27 dysentery pads, 141 pillowslips, 6 white shirts, 10 fomentation cloths, 2 bundles old linen, 6 shirts, G pairs pyjamas, 1 scarf, 6 surgical squares, 1 pair socks, and donation of £2O to go towards Field Ambulance for N.Z. wounded.
The contributions for February are as follows:
19 dysentery pads, 15 knitted scarves, 2 pairs socks, 1 Balaclava, 9 flannel undershirts, 4 shirts, 5 pairs pyjamas, 2 pairs operation socks>, 50 handkerchiefs 1 piece bandage material, 9 pillow-slips, 28 treasure bags, 20 diet cloths, 1 small binder, 3 tray cloths, 1 towel, 1 face cloth. The Society beg to acknowledge the following contributions : Girls’ Friendly Society—
1 pair socks, 3 scarves, 1 Balaclava ; Mrs Petchell, 1 scarf, 1 pair socks; Mrs J. 0. Thomson, drawsheets; Mrs Mcßride, old linen; Mrs Gordon, 12 face washers ; School Children, 7 bags, 8 pillow-slips, 8 handkerchiefs, 8 dusters, 19 treasure bags, 29 tea towels; Mrs Gray, proceeds of sale of vegetables, £1 4s.
