Hoard wrole.slating that a ic*n dent oi Wallace was all present an inmate of the Hospital at Invercargill, in the event of not receiving payment from the said resident, Win Board w o uld hold the Wallace Board responsible, lor payment, ,viz., Uvo -hillings per day. The secretary slated that ho had communicated with tiie matron of the Invercargill Hospital, and had been informed -.that the patient would probably be there for five weeks, —During a discussion, which followed it transpired that a number of patients from Southland district were treated in the Wallace Hospital. Mr Clark said that some comment should be made in regard to tin’s matter. Why should a patient irom Wallace district go outside when attention could be given all the local institution. In the present case the patient went to Invercargill from Otautau district.—Mr Lyle m o vc*d that the Secretary communicate with the Secretary of the Southland Hos-
