Wallace Hospital and C. A. Board
I lie first meeting of the newly constituted Board was held to-day, there being present—Messrs H. Hirst McNt i lighten. Dyer, Forde, Power Buckingham, Clark and Lyle. Mr Lyle moved that Mr Hirst be elected chairman.—Seconded by Mr Clark and carried.
Mr Hirst, in thanking those present for the honor said he had been connected with the Institution since its inception. With the assistance of those present he could see no reason why the business of the Board should not proceed in the future as i't had done in the past.
Mr (dark moved that the meetings be held on the third Thursday preceding the third Friday in each month, and that the place of meeting be the Secretary’s office, Riverton. Members could visit the Tnstitu tion after the meeting had been held. —Mr Dyer seconded the motion.— Carried. -Mr Forde moved that the whole stall ot the Hospital be re-engaged at the same salaries as hitherto Seconded by Mr Clark and carried. The following sub-committees were appointed : Hospital. Messrs Hirst Clark, McNaughton and Lyle. Relief and Finance—all members appointed. Countersigning cheques—Messrs Hirs? C.vle, and Me Nan gh ton. Mr J-yle was appointed chairman ‘ Hospital and sub-committee, ft was resolved to continue the Board’s account with (be National Hank of N.Z.. The meeting then adjourned.
