The meeting wan attended by tho Chief Commissioner (Mr Barron) and Messrs J. Molntyre, A. Kinross. A. Baldoy and D. King. A communication was received from tho Surveyor-General in regard to the balance of pre-emptive right on pastoral run 208, Wairaki, tho Qtago School Commissioners having desired that the land bo proclaimed an education . reserve.—Resolved that tbo Board recommend the reservation of iho laud as requosted. W. J. Perry applied for permission to re-constrnct his tramway on seotiou 334, Longwood, and cutout balauco of timber ontsido that sold to McCallum and Co.—Granted, the timber to be cut in six months' time. It was resolved to inform the Southland County Council that reservation, as cpjarry reserve of section 93, Taringatura district, cannot be withdrawn and laud sold without special legislation, the section haviug been gazetted in 4869. F. J. Dyer wrote declining to offer 2d prr acre for small grazing run No. 38, Centre Hill, on pastoral lease. — j Ke'solved that valuation for improvements be reduced by one shilling and threepence and run re-offered. J. lluuler's opplicatiou for lease of part of Bcctiou b, block 1, Altou, with valualiou lor improvements, was declined. . The following applications tor laud wero granted : —James Campbell, section 139, block 13, VVatau: J. Gall, section 12, block 4, Waikaia, and J. McDonald, section No. 757, Hokouui. The following transfer was approved :—section No. 129, Takatiuio, from A. Mclveuzic to E. Story. Several Matters woro dealt with in committee and 1 lie Board adjourned.
