Public Notices IMPORTANT CHANGE. In intimating to our friends in the Western District and Orepuki that wo have, after long considering the subject, decided to sell at strictly WHOLESALE PRICES, AND TOE NET CASH ONLY. We sincerely thank them for the large measure of support they have given our travellers; and although under our NEW SYSTEM we will not employ travellers, but trust solely to the low prices of our goods to attract customers to our shop, we hope to receive even a larger share of trade from our old friends than formerly. Goods sold at wholesale prices means a thorough revolution, and we believe, if consistently carried out, must attract a larger trade, even although the only condition that renders wholesale prices ptssible is Ready Money. For instance, we now sell our 57s 6d Colonial Tweed Suit at 48s 6d, our 9s Printed Mole Trousers at 7s 9d, our 4s 6d Cashmeres at 3s 9d. We instance these articles because most of our customers know them, but everything has been reduced in a similar way excepting a f cw leading articles already sold at wholesale rates. Our customers know the quality of our goods and that our prices have compared more than favorably with those of the best of our competitors. We have sold on credit as cheap as anyone can afford to sell on credit in this colony, but we think we cau do with 20 PER CENT, less profit for cash.; and we have little doubt that a genuine honest attempt to give the public' goods at their cash value will* meet with support. Samples will be sent to any address, but all letter orders roust be accompanied by remittances. Our friends will see that the only way we can hope to make our new system a success is by making the cash rule absolutely absolute and charging goods to no one.
