FATAL ALPINE ACCIDENT.
Tidings reached Vienna lately (says a Daily Telegraph telegram,) of another fatal Alpine accident in the same neighbourhood where, barely a month ago, the Marquis Pallavicini and M. Crommelin, of the Dutch Legation, met with a tragic end. This time the victim was a lady—Friiuline Pauline von Sonklar, of Innsbruck, who—in company with four gentlemen and another lady, had set out from Heligen on a mountain ascent, to view from a distance the scene of the recent catastrophe. To reach this point it was necessary for the excursionists to climb a rugged mountain path for two hours and they then descended into a wild ravine, through which flows a torrent. It was at the most perilous portion of this track, that the unfortunate lady lost her footing, and before assistance could bo rendered, was precipitated from the dizzy height and dashed on to the rocks below. Death was instantaneous, and the body when recovered was found to be Lightly 1 mutilated.
