A CONTRADICTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Slit, —I seo by the “ Nows” of 3rd inst. that 50 diggers arrived here on Monday night for Merrivalo diggings. Now, Sir, I think such a report as that deserves the greatest censure. If the “News’’ had said five, it would have been nearer the mark. Such reports as the one in Tuesday’s issue are liable to lead the public astray. —I am, &c., Otautau Resident.
