UNSEAWORTHY BOATS.
TO THE EDITOR. Silt, —In the interests of life and property, I would like to know why such vessels as tho Cygnet aro allowed by , the Customs authorities to load cargo and proceed to sea, as she is about to do, when in such a dilapidated state. From my recent experience it is quite apparent that the hull is not in a condition io put to sea, while her running geai’, sails, and boat, aro equally unfit for service—the latter, iq fact, being totally unfit to tnkt human life,to. —I am, &c., j E. WiiiiETT.
