Auckland, Tuesday. The Zealandia sailed thia afternoon Eor San Francisco.
At a meeting of the Harbor Board the tender of Messrs Pierce and Lanigan, L 88.836, was accepted, for the construction of the Calliope dock. The engineer’s estimate was L 98,675. The unsuccessful tenderers were:— Hart and White, L00,86117s 4d; W. Cameron, L 05,690 16s 2d ; Taylor and Brittan, L 103,134 3s 4d; Hector Reid, L 111.706 15s lOd; Falloon, L 129.964 10s. The tender of Fleming and Stephenson, of London, for dredge, L 18330, accepted. Wellington, Tuesday.
A meeting of Wellington manufacturers is to be held on Thursday evening, to consider the Industrial Exhibition proposed to be held in Wellington, and a deputation will be formed to wait on the Premier for information on the subject.
