Hour.—Lß 10s in sacks, L 8 15s in 1001 b Mgs, and L 9 in 50’s. Oatmeal.I—-LIT 1 —-LIT to Lll 10s per ton. Wheat. —Milling parcels of velvet and Tusean.St 3d to 3s 4d ; red straw, 3s Id to 3s 3d ; inferior and‘medium, 2s lid to 3s; fowl feed of.good quality.would fetch from 2s 6d to 2s 7dinferior and medium quality, 2s to 2s 3d. Otits—Demand quiet, but prices do not show any alteration. Bright short feed, Is lid to 2s Old ; long Tart aria ns, which are in rather .short supply, 2s; prime milling, 2s Id to,2a,lid} inferior and discolored feed, Is 9d tolslOd. . Barley.—Prime Malting, 4s Id to 4e 2d; milling, 2s 9d to 3s 3d; feed parcels not W*BlM* - . tl Potatoes. —Prime quality would now fetch L2 15b. The demand, however, is limited to local requirements. Butter.—Several lines have been taken up for shipment at Bid per lb, kegs extra; the demand is anjtbing but active. Haps and Bacon.- —Prime qualify smoked hams 10.1 to IOJd per lb.; bacon, 8d to BJd.’ •• Cheese!—4d to 4id per lb for prime Aka.-,, roa.-e-'-' -■■■■: Chaff.—Prices at L2 17s 6d to L 3.
Grass Seed.—Ryegrass, 4s for machinedressed,'and 3s 6d for farmers’ parcels; cocksfoot, 4id per lb. ; Bebbitskins.—Well-furred, properly sorted winter skins "fetch up lo is 7d per lb. Hides.—Henry weights command up to 4£d per lb ; inferior and light weights fetch from 3d tol3£d per lb. ... Tallow.—Quotations are 30s for rendered and, say, 20s to 22s 6d for rough fat. » Messrs Wbight, Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending July 2 os follows: Fat Cattle. —212 heed were yarded. The quality on the whole was much better than for some time past, but prices were scarcely np to’last/. wceJr'g l rates: v We sold 70 bead. We quote prime beef, 22s- 6J per 1001 b; medium do, 15s. j Fat Sheep —1729 of all Sorts were penned. Prices were about equal lo last week’s We sold 201 crossbred owes at 15s lOd, and 226 crossbred wethers at 16s. We quote prime mutton, 2Jd per lb ; medium do, 2d. Fat Pigs.—Prices obtained were as follow : 2 at 80s, 2 at 745, 4 at 70s, 3 at 775, 5 at 38s. 10 ut 48s, 9at 555, Bat 425, 9at 28s, Bat 395, 11 at 28s 6d. We quote prime bacon pigs 4Jd per lb, : ' Store Cattle and Store Sheep. — No transactions.
Horses —At our yards on Saturday a large number came .forward, and prices showed an upward, tendency, especially for draughts. Our sales amounted to 67 head. We quote first-class draughts at from £BO to £34; medium, £2O to £25; good hacks and lightharness horses, £ls to £2O; medium. £lO to £l2; light and inferior, £3 to £6. Sheepskins—At our weekly sale on Monday we Catalogued about 3000' skins. There was a large attendance of buyers, and prices realised *wero 3d to 6d over late rates. Babbitskins—The demand is good. Prices range from; Is Id to Is 7id.
