All races must be ridden by amateur riders wearing proper jockey costume. No race will be run off unless there are four starters. Entrances for steeplechases and hurdle races to be made with the Secretary on or before !sa ! urday, the 29th December, and for Maiden Plate, Wairiu Cup, and Handicap Trot before II o’clock on day of races. A maiden horse is one which has never won any race other than an amateur race for cup or trophy. The meeting to be held under Dunedin Jockey Club rules.
