. [Press Association.] Auckland, Friday. Joshua Jones, of Mokau, is in Auckland exhibiting specimens of Mokau coal, and endeavoring to interest Auckland capitalists ia developing coal seams there. The N.Z. Stud and Pedigree Co. ship to Canterbury, for Canterbury Show, the short-horn bull, Duke of Albany, bred by P. and E. McLean ; also Duke Fashion and Sir Harry, bred by T. and S. Morris. The animals will be disposed of at close of show. At an extraordinary meeting of the shareholders in the Auckland Native Land Colonization Co., a resolution was passed authorising, the directors to conclude negotiations for sale of assets and business of the company to the N.Z. Native Land Settlement Co. upon such terms as the directors deem best. Wellington, Friday.
