She experienced very strong winds and heavy seae, and had several times to run for shelter. It was not until Tuesday morning last that she got fairly away from the shelter of the Nuggetts, arriving here late on Wednesday afternoon. Her new owner, Mr G-. Printz, will take possession of her when the cargo is discharged. Mr D. 11‘Leod, her former owner, has purchased the schooner Maid of Otago for the EivertouDunedin trade. The district may now be congratulated upon having a fleet of coasters, capable of regularly carrying on the trade between h ore and Dunedin. The Maid of Otago is now loading for Riverton and will be despatched about Thursday next. / ' The C.Q-. S. Stella left Bluff harbor on 28tTiV inst. to convey supplies to Puysegur Point ancV _Centre Island lighthouses. It was intended that she should afterwards visit the Auckland Islands to seek for the boat’s crow belonging to the Awarua, supposed to be lost upon the Islands. The various depots of provisions, &c., will also be visited and replenished, and afterwards the steamer will visit the Snares on her way back to Dupedin.
