Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending 30th December-, aa follows : Fat Cattle. —We quo,te prime quality, 30s per lOOlbs ; inferior quality, 275. Fat Calvea. —About 15 yarded, which sold, at from 20a. to 50s each. Fat Sheep.—l9oo were penned, and were all taken with the exception of about 500 at a reduction of Is to 2s per head on late rates. We q.uote prime mutton 2d per lb. Fat Laajba,;—4oo were penned, but only. 352 were sold, at from 6s 6d to 9s each. Store Cattle. —All classes continue in good demand, and especially cattle fit fop paddock fattening. Store Sheep.—We anticipate at the conclusion of shearing, a fair, demand, particularly for young crossbreds, and four ami six-toofcb merino ewes. We quote crossbreds, four and six-tooth, 7s 6d to 8d ; do, two-tooth, 6s ;. merino, ewes, four and six- tooth, 63 6A to 7s ; do, full-mouthed, 3s. to 4s, Horses. —We quote first-class draughts, £45 to £55 ; medium do, £35 to £4O; light do, £25 to £3O ; good hacks and. light harness horses, £25 to £3O-; medium ; do, £l4 to £2O ;. light and; inferior, £3, to £lO. Sheepskins.—Butchers' green skins, halfbreds, so]d at from 4s 8d to. ss. 3d ; lambs, Is to Is 6d ; pelts, 3d to sid each; dry station skips, from Is 8d to 5s Id each.
