RIVERTON RIFLES.

The final competit ion for Silver Oup (presented by Messrs A. Briscoe and Co., Dunedin), Telescope (presented by Mr D. Murcbie), and money prizes took place on Monday and resulted in the cup—a handsome trophy—being secured by Yol. Hascock, and the telescope, also a handsome prize, by Yol. M'Eenzic. The series of competitions commenced on the 24th May, 1875 ; the ranges being 200, 400, and 500 yds (Ist stage), 200, 500, and 600 (2nd), and 400, 500, and 600 (3rd): Sin bull’s-eye at 200 yards. At the first stage there were 19 competitors, at the second 16,j and at the last 11 put in an appearance. The fallowing are the scores, and handicap :
