Appointing additional Gazettes under “ The Debtors' and Creditors' Act, 1875.” Normandy, Governor. WHEREAS by the fifth section of “The Debtors and Creditors Act, 1875,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the term “ Gazette” in the said Act shall mean any newspaper or newspapers to be from time to time appointed by the Governor for each district: And whereas by a Proclamation dated the 12th day of January, 1876, the districts named in the schedule hereto were constituted districts under the said Act: And whereas certain newspapers have been appointed Gazettes for such districts respectively : And whereas it is expedient to appoint other newspapers Gazettes in addition to those appointed as aforesaid : Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me, do hereby appoint that, for the districts named in the Schedule hereto, the newspapers the names whereof are in the said Schedule set opposite to the names of such districts shall be Gazettes for such districts respectively under the said Act, in addition to the newspapers already appointed.
