Amyes, Janies Wright, and others, 60 head, at from. £B. 5s to £l4 for cows, and £9 I,os to £l7 2s 6d for bullocks, or equal to 45s per 1001 b for good quality, and 34a for medium do. Eat Calves. - Only a, small number came to band, which sold readily at 30s to 60s each. Eat Sheep.;—The number penned (2,300). was again in excess of the demand, only about half finding buyers. We sold 400 crossbreds at 15s 6d to 19s. We quote prime ir ul ton at 3Jd to 4d. Store Cattle and Store Sheep. —We have no transactions to report.

Horses.—Draughts are somewhat dull of sale,, while good strong cab or. coaching horses, are in. excellent demand. At our yards, on Saturday, the business done in the former class was below the average, but a fair number of light horses changed hands,. We beg to call the special attention of farmers and breeders to our annual walking show of entires, which will be. held in the Provincial Xards on Tuesday, the sth-of October, when we shall offer at auction a considerable number of stallions, both draught and thoroughbred. We-quote first-class draughts, £65 to £75; medium, £45 to £55 ; light,. £25 to £35 ; good saddle and light harness horses, £2O to £3.0,; medium, £l4 to £l7 ; inferior, £5. to £lO. Wool. —Cable telegrams received per Rangarooma, dated- London, September 6, state that New Zealand wools, being ip. large supply, are. particularly depressed. Irregular lots show, a fall 2d to 3d. Prices of fleece : Superior, 23tl to 31(1;. medium, 20d to 22d; inferior, isd to 19d. Scoured : Superior, 23d to 29d ; medium, 19d to 22d ; inferior, 16d to 18d. Greasy : Superior, 12d to 16d ; medium, lOd to 13x1 inferior, 7d to 9d.

Sheepskins.—At our weekly sale on Thursday there was a good muster of buyers ; but, in consequence of the unfavourable condition of the London wool markets, a reduction- of 9d to Is perskin bad to be submitted to. Prices obtained w.erq as follows Batchers’ green skins, halfbreds, 5s to 5$ 6J ; merinos, 4s Id to 4s 41; and station skins, 2s 2d to 4s 3_d, according to the quality. ! Hides are in. moderate request at about last week’s quotations. We sold a considerable number of lighs weights at 10s 9d to 17s 8d [each. Grain. —Wheat continues in, fair demand, at 4s 6d to 4s 7d per bushel for prime samples. Oats are dull of sale, with very few transactions taking place—feed are worth 2s 8d per bushel; milljug samples, 2s 9d to 2s lOd.
