(Napier Telegraph.) The attached letter, giving a very old colonistV view of what the Immigration and Public Worka scheme is bringing the country to, is published for general information. By “ old colonist" wo mean Te Kooti, whose views of course will command some attention,. The kindness of his offerto forward “ potted pakeha” as a delicacy for London breakfast-tables, deserves no comment. We must decline, however, to furnish any information as to the channel ofcommunication wa- - hold with tiie arch-rebel These are the words of Te Ruki, the prophet, to all the peoples of New Zealand* first to theMaoris; then to the pakehas who have lived; amongst us then to the strange pakehas of New Zealand, and of the island of Taiaroa and elsewhere. This is my word to you that you may know me.. Salutation to you all. On the first day of the new religion, behold I said unto my disciples—Go ye forth, and they went forth : and that they did is known both by the Maoris of the, one side, and by the Maori of the other side, and by the Pakeha.. ■ Since then have I said—-Stop! and we havestopped. It is well. Salutations to all—to sick tribes, to tribes in good health. Salutations to all the islands of the worldsalutations to all the chiefs.. SONG.. “ Let ns all bo united in love, Let 03 all be united in peace, Let u,s all be united with a satisfied heart, and let u,s do, what is right, Let us. all be united with a loving heart." . This is another word to you, / Listen. I, Te Ruki, the prohphet, see evils that the Government is doing to this country. I see the evil, of the iron road, the wrongs (committed) by the iron horse. ; . Stop all road-making ; it is wrong, Stop.all telegraphsthey are illegal. Stop all railways, all surveys, a}l. buying and; selling of land; all are wrongs All book accounts in the past, and all transactions, in the future in land, are wrong. This is. my word.. There is yet a further-word.. - ‘ Let the Government stop, all the Strange pakehas coming into the country. If not, when dearth and- famine and* want comp on the land, then let them send for me, and what I did before I will do. again one hundredfold; yea, will I start a boiling down establishment for pakehas, and potted; pakehas shall be a common; food..
