ABOUT THOSE APPLES.

The old cpdundrum about the number of apples eaten by Adam and Eve in the Garden of E len has started on another tour. We are sorry, for the answer has never been correctly given, making the result as follows : —Eve 8 an i Adam 2, a.total of 10 only. Now wc figured the thing,out differently, long ago, but through excessive modesty never proclaimed the result, which is now given—Eve 8, lyid Adam B,also ; total, 16. —Boston journal. We think the above figures entirely wrong. If Eye 8. and Adam 82, certainly the total will be 90. Scientific men, however, differ. On the strength of the theory that the antediluvians were a race of giants, and oonsequent’y great caters, they reason something like this:—Eve 81st and-Adam 82 ; total, 163. —Gloucster Advertiser.
