DUNEDIN. 1 — Weight, Stephenson, and Co. report for the week ending 13th December, as follows : Fat Cattle. —Only a small number came forward ; hut as the trade had considerable stock in hand, the supply was quite sufficient; 43 head, of only middling' quality, were yarded, and brought from 15e. to 20s. per 1001 b. Fat Sheep.—2so were penned. We sold 100 - merino wethers, middling quality in wool, at 12s. Other sales were cross-breds, in wool, at 19s. ; merinos, do., at 14s. We also sold privately 500 half-breds at 2|d. to 2 id. per ib., which figures we give as present market value. Fat Lambs. — 36 were penned, which sold at 9s. to 10s. 3d. each. Privately we sold 50 at 10s. Store Cattle. —The demand has somewhat slackened. We sold 120 head bullocks and spayed cows at £3 12s. fid. We quote bullocks, three to five years- old, £4 to £4 10s.; spayed cows, £3 to £3 iOs.; mixed lots r £2 ss. to £2 10s. W T e quote first-class draughts, £SO to £65 ; medium do., £33 to £4O ; good hacks and light harness horses, £2O to £35 ; medium do., £l3 to £l7; light and inferior, £5 to £7. Sheepskins. —At our weekly sale, on Wednesday, prices obtained were fully equal to last week’s rates. Wc sold butchers’ green skins, balf-breds, at ss. to 6s. 4d. ; do., merinos, ss. 3d. to ss. sd. ; station skins, 2s. 4d. to 4s. 7d. each. Hides. —We disposed of several lots at our weekly sale, at about last week’s prices. Wellcured heavy bides would command good prices. Many of the lots sent to the market are very indifferently cured. We sold medium weights at 17s. 3d. to ISs. 6d. each. Geain. —The market continues dull; and to effect largo sales a concession in price would have to be made. Wheat: Good samples arc worth, ss. per bushel; inferior, difficult to quit. Oats : The demand is confined to local wants ; milling cannot be quoted over 4s. to 4s. 2d. per bushel; feed, 3s. lid. Auckland, 13th December. — Mr. Buckland reports : —Store cattle slightly lower ; fat cattle, best, 275. : middling, 20s. per 1001 b.; fat sheep, lower, 2|d. to 3kl. per" lb. Breadstuff's unchanged. Oats scarce, ss. 3d. to ss. 6d. Ciieistchuech, 13th December. —Mr. Debourbel reports:—Buyers of National Insurance. 225.; South British, 455.; National Bank, 535.; Shipping Company, 2s. 6:1. Seilers: National Insurance, 255.; South British, 465.; National Bank, 565.; Shipping Company, 4s. - -3 AUSTRALIAN. Melbourne. —The “Argus” of the 13th inst. reportsßrcadstuffs do not command any special notice. Flour is moving off in bakers’ lots at £l3 ss. to £l3 7s. 6d. ; for parcels there is a fair enquiry at £l3 12s. 0.1. to £l2 155., though we arc without any actual transactions to refer to. Wheat is wants 1, and quotations are firm at ss. 4d. £o ss. Bd.; but in the absence of anything like supplies, no transactions can bo recorded. Oats arc in good request. A lino of 1,200 bushels has changed bands at 4s. sd. for common feeding ; and were supplies more abundant, a much larger business could be done. Adelaide. —Flour, £l2. Wheat, ss. 2d. to se. 4d.

LONDON. (By Cablegram, 6th December.) There has been a fall of 2d. on inferior parcels' of wool. A brisk competition was maintained yesterday ; altogether 43,400 bales have been sold. The sales close on the 12th inst., and the February sales commence on the 12th of that month. Tine corn market is firm, and foreign arrivals large. The bank reserve is favourable.
