PROFESSIONAL TITLE SHAW AND MURRAY FINALISTS (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A. J. Shaw, the defending champion, and A. Murray, who won the open championsihap this week, reached the final of the New Zealand professional championship to-day. They beat respectively J. R. Galloway, professional to the Manawatu club, and N. H. Fuller, the young Sti. Clair professional, the score being in each case 4 up and 3 to play. B. M. Silk (Hutt) and T. B. Ferguson (Otago), and J. L. Black (Hutt), and J. P. Homabrook ( Master to?'), won their quarter-final matches in the amateur championship, and will play off in the semi-finals over 36 holes to-J day.
