Shaw Three Up FIRST EIGHTEEN HOLES AMATEUR SEMI-FINALS (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the end of the first eighteen holes in the final of the professional golf championship this morning, Shaw, holder . since 1931, was three up on Murray, the 24-y ear-old unattached professional from Auckland, who beat Shaw in the Open event by two strokes. Shaw went round! in 69 and Murray in 72. In the amateur semi-finals Hornabrook was three up on Black at the fifteenth hole. The match between Silk and Ferguson did not produce good golf, both men taking three putts on occasions when two putts would have given a win. Silk was one up at the 16th tee.
