LATE SIR JOSEPH WARD MEMORIAL PROPOSAL Old Liberals still remember the national service rendered to New Zealand by the. late Sir Joseph Ward as a Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and also in other eapacitries for many eventful years. In the Legislative Council yesterday afternoon, the Hon. R. McCallum (Marlborough) gave notice of a question asking whether, during the recess, Government? would consider thti matter of erecting a fitting memorial to perpetuate the memory of the late Sir Joseph Ward .in recognition of his services to the people of New Zealand over a long period of years.
