Waipawa Sports Club Opening

At the opening of the Waipawa. Spoirts Club’s playing areas on Saturday last, visitors were present from Waipukurau, Hastings and Napier for the opSening day’s play on the Croquet Club’s greens. T;hie lawns were in perfect order and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. A selries of competitions were held, resulting as under:— Skittles, Mrs Townsend, Waipukurau. Golf croquet, Mrs G. Cook, Waipukurau. French croquet, Mrs Hill, Waipukurau. Hitting peg, Mrs S. Dailey. Hungy-scurry, Mesdames J. Clark and K. B. Gollan. Trophies for the different events were donated by Mesdames R. Bishop, G. Fox, A. Parkin, H. M. Rathbone, J. Clark and K. B. Gollan.
