TAKAPAU NEWS

THE RUGBY CLUB MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEET (From Our Own Correspondent) Last evening a meeting of the management committee of the Takapau Football Club was held, when much routine business was dealt with, and arrangements made to hold a ball on Wednesday, September 11 in aid of Injured players. During the proceedings an opportunity will be taken to present the Hunter Shield to the Takapau senior team, which has again been successful for the third time in winning the coveted trophy in the Central Bay SubUnion’s fixtures. Very Cold Weather. The weather has been extremely cold these last few days at Takapau, and on Wednesday morning snow was lying on the hills on the Oruawharo estate and Paulsen’s estate. On enquiry it was learnt that there have been no severe losses among lambs up to the present.
