TRUCK DERAILED

N API ER-WELL!NGTON TR AIN NEAR LONGLANDS STATION (Per Pr°ss Association). HASTINGS, This Day. One tmek of the WellingtonNapier goods train which usually reaches Napier in the early morning, was derailed on a loop about 100 yards on tho south side of Longlands flag station, two miles south from Hastings. There was no evidence of an obstruction on the line, and the cause of the mishap has not as yet been ascertained. Fortunately the truck fell on its side, away from the duplicate line, so the Napier-Wellington express was able to get through without delay.

Neither the van nor the line was damaged, except to a trifling extent. It is expected that it will take some hours to right the van.
