GALLANT ACTION

RESCUE OF SEAMAN CERTIFICATE AWARDED (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. Richard Clancy, of the ferry steamer Rangatira, has been presented with a framed certificate of the Royal Humane Society for the rescue of a seaman who fell into the harbour while painting the ship on March 4. The ceremony took place in the dining saloon, the Rangatira’s master presenting the certificate and Mr. P. E. Coira, representative in Wellington of the Society, extending congratulations.
