MINISTERIAL MENTION UNABLE TO SAY ANYTHING (Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, Last Night. “I have mot discussed it at all and am unable to say anything about it, said the Hon. A. Hamilton, Acting Minister of Finance, in referring to a suggested alteration in the electoral laws. A message from Wellington published yesterday said that .political circles were freely discussing the possibility of an alteration in the laws before next election, involving a change to some system of preferential voting. The matter had never been discussed formally by Cabinet, the Minister added, although there had been a good deal of talk about it in the newspapers.
