KARAMU MURDER
POLICE INVESTIGATIONS CONTINUED VIGILANCE Though it is now a full two weeks since the body of the six-year-old girl, Joan Rose Rattray, was found lying in the mud at Karamu, it seems that the mystery of her murder is no nearer solution than it was early last week. The police have nothing further to report in connlection with the matter, though the special squad of four outside officers are continuing with their intensive investigations. The pile of manuscript steadily increases as further statements, reports and notes are gathered, but it would seem that no tangible clue has found. As yet there is no suggestion :hat the special officer’s assigned’ to the case should be recalled, and they are still assiduously carrying out their laborious and necessarily slow investigation. They are, however, very far from giving up hope that they will eventually end their investigations in a satisfactory manner.
