The death occurred in the Waipukurau Hospital, yesterday, of Master Archie Frederick Adrian, son of Mr and Mrs L. Adrian, .aged 9 years. ' The sorrowing parents will have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement. Mr C. J. Agar, manager of the Waipukurau branch of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., who has bee> indisposed for a week past, is progressing favourably, buit- it is expected that ho will be confined to Iris home f«r a further period <of some days. The Rev. John Ings, of Hawera, has accepted a call to the Napier Baptist Church. He will fill the vacancy caused by the departure of the Rev. C. W. Duncumb to Auckland. The Rev. Mt Ings was stationed at Napier some five years ago. In 1929 he accepted a call to the Royal Oak church, Auckland. From Auckland he went to Hawera, where he has been for the past three years. A very old and esteemed resident of Napier, Mrs Elizabeth Jane West, relict of the late Mr Frederick West, passed away at her residence, Cobden road, yesterday morning, at 'the advanced age of 94 years. The late Mfrs West came to Napier with her husband, a gardener and florist, by the sailing ship Invererne 61 years, ago, and had resided there ever since.
