The "Daily Mail’s” Paris correspondent says that the dead body of a French airman floated gently to earth by parachulte after the aeroplane in which he had been flying over ChateauRoux at a height of 3500 feet was cut in two in collision with another machine. He was killed as the machines met.

A companion leapt out unhurt but was killed when he crashed into the ground owing to the parachute not opening.

The occupant of the other machine, who was flying solo, was thrown out of Ihe cockpit and parachuted safely to the ground.
