RENTALS UNPAID.

| DELAY ALLEGED COMMISION’S INQUIRY Complaints against the Native Trustee that beneficiaries in the West Coast settlement reserves in Taranaki had not been paid rents due to them promptly or regularly, and that no interest had been received by them on the delayed payments, wero made before the Native Affairs Commission in Wellington yesterday. General allegations were made on behalf of beneficiaries in other districts that the financial administration of the Native Trust Office had been a failure, and that the officers were not competent to undertake the inspection and supervision required of them. It was suggested that if the aidministration was not better conducted in the future the control should revert to the Public Trustee.
