At Hawke’s Bay In 1935

MEETING OF N.Z. COUNCIL

GOVERNMENT GRANT WANTED

WELLINGTON, This Day.

An invitation to the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association to conduct the Royal Show in 1935 was tentatively accepted by the Association’s delegates at to-day’s meeting of the Council of the Royal. Agricultural Society of New Zealand.

The treasurer in his report stated that the Society’s credit balance was £262 13/6.

Judges were appointed for the Royal Show at Invercargill next December, and it was reported that £l9OO would be given in prize money, exclusive of special prizes offered by breed societies.

It was decided to approach the Government with a request that the grant made annually up to 1932 be renewed.
