Dangerous Poll to be Moved. The Borough Council last evening decided to bear the cost of the removal of the dangerous power pole at the corner of Porangahau road and Hollyrood Terrace, as set out by the Power Board. On the motion of Cr. J. McCarthy, seconded by Cr. T. Staines, it was decided to ask the Board to proceed with the removal of the pole. A Notice To Creditors All creditors and 'others having claims against the estate of the late Mr Andrew Taylor, ,Onga Onga, and. Mi’ Philip De La Haye, Waipawa, are required to lodge their claims at the Public Trust Office, Waipukurau, on or before July 20. Referees Meet At a largely attended meeting of the Central Hawke’s Bay Referees’ Association held in Waipukurau last evening, Mr C. M. Williamson presiding in the unavoidable absence of Mr P. R. Smyrk (president), a very informative address on the rules governing offside play was delivered by Mr D. P. Dinnan, who was heartily thanked at the close of the evening, for his able exposition of the points at issue. An hour devoted to the asking and answering of questions proved very helpful. County Council’s Bates* The Waipukurau County Council gives notice in to-day’s issue of the Press that at its monthly meeting to be held on July 7, to make and levy a general rate on the basis of the unimproved value of land as follows: — Hatuni a . Riding, Id in the £; Mt. Herbert Riding, |d in the £; and Purimu Riding, |d in the £. Under “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act 1926” a rate of Id in the £ will be levied over the whole county, the amount required being £5BB 5/10. Mayor’s Relief Fund. The Mayor’s Relief Committee wishes to acknowledge with thanks the following donations and gifts: —Miss L. A. Limpus, parcel clothing; Mrs J. W. Harding, 2 bundles clothing; C.
