FRICTION REPORTED
ALLOCATION OF SEATS IN HOUSE OF COMMONS LONDON, March 25. The chairman of the Conservative Party Organisation (Lord Stonehaven) refused to-day to make a statement on the reported disagreement about the allocation of seats among the Conservative, Liberal and Labour supporters of the National Government at the next elections. Conservative politicians deprecate the rumours of friction in the coordinating committee, which was constituted some months ago, under the chairmanship of Lord Stonehaven. One of the main tasks of the committee will be to consider whether to allot. Liberals and Labour men. certain seats which the Conservatives won in 1931, on the wave of enthusiasm, and which might now be difficult to retain. Mr Harold Boyce (Conservative), an Australian, member of the House of Commons, said that some Conservatives were naturally disinclined to retire, but the tendency in some quarters was to make an unnecessary fuss about the negotiations.
