PLEADS GUILTY

To Attempted Robbery OF A PALMERSTON N. BANK ALSO MASTERTON BURGLARY (Per Press Association) PALMERSTON N., This Day. Arising from a sensational incident at a local bank last Friday, William Murn MacDonald, mechanic (19) pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence to the Supreme Court on a charge of being armed -with a revolver and attempting to rob William Loudon, teller of the Union Bank of Australia. To three other charges involving breaking and entering with intent, also theft, and obtaining goods with intent to defraud, he also pleaded guilty. He was committed for sentence on a fifth charge, i.e., breaking, entering and theft at Masterton, and was remanded to appear there.
