RETURNING CONFIDENCE COMPETITION AT LONDON SALES LONDON. March 19. . Mr Devereux, Australian representative on the Wool Committee, reports as follows: —“With the worst of the American crisis over and Germany settling down under the new regime, the signs of returning confidence have increased, and Continental competition is being displayed at the London wool sales. Merinos slightly improved, fine crossbreds tending slightly in buyer-'’ favour; medium and coarse crossbreds were unchanged. There is a slight increase in the sales of tops. ContinentaV futures are quiet.”
