THE MODERN CONTOUR The * 4 Picking Fruit’’ movements de ascribed hereunder have a wonderfully loosening effect upon the arms and shoulders. You will feel yourself becoming more and more supple as you do these exercises. Imagine you are reaching for the largest apple at the top of the tree, but instead of standing to reach it, lake your position on your back. cu won’t get the apple, but you’ll feel wonderful when you've achieved -die exercise. Picking Fruit:—Lie flat on your back, knees drawn up with feet on the floor both knees and feet twelve inches apart. Elbows drawn in to sides and fingertips reaching the outside shoulders. Movement 1: Flatten the spine at the waistline, as for the ‘'bracer”, and draw in the abdomen, at the same time stretching your arms up above your head. Movement 2: That's right! Now emphasise the stretch by tinning the hands from the wrists and moving the lingers—as if you were struggling to reach that golden apple. Hold this position for five seconds; then relax, bringing your hands back to the shoulders, elbows in to sides, and legs flat on the floor. Movement 3: Repeat four times. This exercise helps to give you a delightfully loose feeling about shoulders and arms, combined with the exhilaration of the “bracer.’’ GENERAL HOW DO YOU WEAR YOUR RING 1 ?
