THREE HUNDRED RESCUES BY A SURF CLUB Of 300 bathers who have been rescued by the New Brighton 'Surf Club’during its existens, only two people have written to thank the club. The. second occasion was quite recently, when a letter was received from the relatives of a bather who was assisted ashore on February 12, at South Brighton. In expressing their thanks for the assistance given by Messrs. Cliff, McCree, Ballantyne and McDowell, of the New Brighton Club, the relatives encolsed a donation towards the club’s funds. Satisfaction was expressed by the committee on receiving such rare appreciation of the club’s services.
